Little square Santa Catalina Tomàs

The Placeta de Santa Catalina Tomàs, named in honour of a beloved Mallorcan saint — Catalina Tomàs i Gallard — who is widely venerated throughout the Balearic Islands, is a small urban square nestled in the old quarter of Porreres. The most notable feature of the square is the well at its centre. It has been carefully restored, with one of the interventions involving the return of the drinking trough that had been relocated to the bullring. The well reaches a depth of 10.10 metres. Alongside the well, the square is home to benches, lantern-style street lighting and greenery. Together, these elements make the placeta a welcoming and peaceful corner, perfect for a moment of rest.
