Municipal Auditorium
The Municipal Auditorium of Porreres has its origins in the former Principal Cinema, built after the post-war period by the Melià brothers and inaugurated in 1945 as the largest venue in the village. Active until the late 1970s, the building gradually fell into disrepair until it was acquired in 2002 by the Town Hall and the Consell de Mallorca. Following a thorough renovation, the new auditorium was inaugurated on 9 August 2008, preserving the original layout of the seating area and incorporating modern facilities. It features a large stage, dressing rooms, underground parking and a capacity of 410 people. The foyer hosts exhibitions, and the space adapts to concerts, conferences and cultural activities, thanks to the involvement of local organisations and schools.
