The Casa de la Vila, located on the main square, occupies the former estate building of the possessió des Monjos, adapted in the mid-20th century to serve as the Town Hall of Porreres. It currently houses the Council Chamber, the municipal administration and various local services. The building, which spans three floors topped by a small turret, combines the stonework of the ground floor with plastered upper storeys. The entrance is framed by four fluted columns supporting the municipal coat of arms from 1673, leading to a grand imperial staircase. The second floor features a distinctive balcony with a pediment and large windows with balconettes. A short distance away stands the former building that served as the Casa de la Vila and University until the 18th century, today carefully restored and converted into a restaurant, preserving the institutional memory of the village.
