This site, located behind the Oratory of the Holy Cross, is the place where dozens of people who fought in support of the Second Spanish Republic were executed by firing squad. The Town Hall of Porreres inaugurated this memorial space in April 2011. It currently houses a replica of the mural «1936», created by Andreu Pasqual Frau and designed by artist Jaume Ramis Sureda, as well as a plaque that tells the history of this place, drawing on the poem “Els nostres morts” by Miquel López Crespí.
